
Allyssa Sheridan Anderson Counseling Intern
Allyssa Sheridan Anderson is a counseling intern currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the College of Staten Island.
She is dedicated to fostering a supportive and non-judgmental environment where clients feel understood and accepted. With a strong academic foundation in therapeutic practices such as Person-Centered Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Allyssa’s approach is rooted in empathy, active listening, and cultural sensitivity.
She is particularly passionate about supporting adolescents and young adults experiencing depression, anxiety, or difficulty adjusting to sudden life transitions. Allyssa earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University at Buffalo in 2022. As an intern, she is eager to gain hands-on experience working with a diverse population and further developing her clinical skills.Â
